Our History
Lasa Links Insurance teed off in 2015, and yes it is related to golf! Founder, Rob Lasa’s previous career was in Golf instruction, and his company was named Lasa Links Golf. Naturally, when he started his insurance business, he kept the Lasa Links, and just added the Insurance part. One thing Rob learned from the golf industry that has stayed with him is to “Never assume, and always follow up.” Rob has 13 years of insurance experience, acquiring his first license in 2009 while working as a golf instructor. He has since acquired 3 insurance licenses and 3 securities licenses.
After selling his portfolio in early 2021, Rob merged his clients into a larger firm that had shiny bells and whistles, but the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. After 1.5 years, Rob realized it was more important to provide a service to his customers, rather than chase profit. With the loyalty and support of his partner, Bill Harvelle, he reopened Lasa Links Insurance in October of 2022, and they are super passionate with the new mission of the agency.
